This is an activity where participants become the show, transforming into true batucada musicians! Revolving around Brazilian percussions and samba, the group evolves with groove, breaks, and instrument solos until they feel the warmth of the Rio carnival.
There are 5 families of instruments available for aspiring musicians to play samba. Enhanced with choreography and a few surprises, this activity is brimming with vitality and good vibes. It requires no musical skills and can cater to all audiences.
The workshop can accommodate groups of 10 to 4000 participants and lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes.
Brazilian Percussion Team Building is a genuine educational, playful, and energetic tool. It fosters team spirit through the sounds of typical Brazilian samba-reggae.
4 STEPS:
– Individuality:
Participants familiarize themselves with the instrument they’ve chosen from the 7 options grouped into 5 families:
agogo bell – tambourim – shaker – chacha bell – surdo
They learn the gestures and play the assigned rhythm.
– Team Spirit:
Application with their instrument group, sharing impressions, correcting mistakes, listening to each other in order to play in unison and become a tightly-knit team centered around our instruments.
– Orchestra Cohesion:
Integration of the work done within their team into the entire orchestra. Listening to other teams, the rhythms differ and come together to create a samba.
– Conduction by the Maestro:
The orchestra is led by a single person using signs and a whistle. Everyone learns the signs and applies them to their instrument in harmony with their team and the orchestra. This requires memory and responsiveness.
In the end, most participants, even those who aren’t musicians, play a rhythmic, swaying beat together in perfect harmony, all with smiles and good spirits. A great way to instill teamwork principles.
